The course I want to get into at uni needs an ATAR of around 94, however I know my ATAR will be in the high 80's but not a 90. I was wondering if I apply for SEAS would there be a chance of me getting accepted into the course or is it absolutely impossible?

Of course it is absolutely possible. It would depend on the severity of your situation which determines how much it has impacted your education.

3-9 points is what you can get added onto your aggregate through the admissions scheme :)
http://www.adm.monash.edu.au/admissions/special-admissions-scheme.html
That's a link to the Monash SEAS criteria. You might be eligible for more than one, so see which ones you are eligible for and determine how many points will be added onto your aggregate. As a general principle you need about a 170 aggregate for a 94 ATAR, and generally an 89 ATAR requires around and aggregate of 157.
Also, even if you don't get a clearly in ATAR they may take things into account such as any application letter etc.
ALSO - DON'T LOSE HOPE! If high-80s is possible then 90's is possible too! I think it's easy to be dismayed looking at such a difficult goal, but anything can happen at the end of the year. Best of luck.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look at it (:
Yea true, I guess I just have to work that extra hard. I'm just scared to aim too high and then get disappointed when the mark comes out, if it's not what I had expected. But I'll definitely try my best.

I know that feel. I just about failed year 11 and made my aims for 90+ widely known coming into year 12. It's even worse that people are expecting it to happen. I wake up afraid of failing erryday lol, but I still go hard anyway and I think if I fall short my sadness won't last so long because I'll/we'll be able to look back with pride.

Wow, that really sounds like me lol. But I guess with a lot of effort and work everything becomes possible. But its just a matter of finding motivation now, becomes mine seems to be dying out :P

Just a quick question. I'm completing year 12 but started school early (1 year younger than my peers) when applying for SEAS can my age give me any adavantages when applying for uni?
