I wanted to go but my parents couldn't drive me to and from school everyday and they weren't trusting enough of public transport to let me go to and from school everyday with it.

Lol... sheltered much :P?

Anyway, I definitely don't aim to be a high achiever... just do your best, it's all about improvement, if you make your life about constantly improving different aspects of yourself on a daily basis then you will be a high achiever purely because other people won't.

I will never be satisfied with what I have.

There's always potential to do more.

We know no ones perfect but we still strive to be perfect which is kinda stupid if you think about it but there's just some sort of satisfaction to knowing you did better than before, that you're improving.

Just lately my friend has been been telling me that she's going to try to dux this or that subject next year. I really don't want to burst her bubble and I'm not saying that she couldn't dux a subject but I'm afraid that she's going to be really disappointed if she doesn't achieve what she wants.  Personal motivation> Exterior goals, IMO.

I agree. Everyday provides an opportunity to improve something in your life from the previous day, if you keep on improving an aspect of your life everyday; then these incremental steps eventually lead to true success, fulfilment and gets you closer to reaching your true potential.
