Aspiring doctor. Why? For the same four reasons as everybody else. Chicks, money, power and chicks.

Even if they're becoming somewhat redundant in a practical sense, a watch is just about the only piece of jewellery a guy's allowed to have (minus cuff links perhaps, but that's only on certain occasions.

???
Facial piercings, rings and a couple of other items are pretty socially acceptable these days. Only reason I don't have one is because $$$

OT: I have a watch that looks something like this (http://i.imgur.com/0O0w8.jpg) but I should probably get a cheap one soon anyway for work

Meant for work/formal purposes mostly. Wouldn't think facial piercings (except a single one on the left ear) would be really all that acceptable. Obviously if you're just going out, you can do whatever you like.

Couldn't find my exact watch but it looks very, very similar to this one:

Absolutely love wearing watches. Used to be a watch freak but have toned it down in the last couple of years. :P

Don't know too much about watches, but I own, I think, at time of purchase, a $5 worth from Indonesia. I don't know what it is, but it was black in colour. Me and him, we go a long way back. Still works for me, I don't usually wear it except for special ocassions (aka exam times). :)

When I can afford it, I'd like one of the following.

Which one would you prefer?

1: http://forums.watchuseek.com/attachments/f15/683854d1334732325-breitling-navitimer-01-le-vs-omega-speedmaster-moonwatch-omega-co-axial-chronograph-breitling-navitimer-01-limited-edition-automatic-watch.jpg

2: http://www.extravaganzi.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Hublot-Big-Bang-All-Black-Carbon-Fiber-Watch-1.jpg

Hmm, you'll probably get a better use out of the first one (i.e, you can wear that with pretty much any clothing and it'll look good).

Haha, surgeon, we actually might have something in common. I love my dials!
I currently wear a diving watch (used to go diving heaps).

What are your views on G-shock watches? Personally, I don't find them to be that appealing. They don't look 'clean/suave' enough for me HAHA.

I agree, the Breitling is much more of a classic and would suit more outfits and occasions than a carbon fibre Hublot :P

The Hublot just wreaks of indisputable awesomeness, though! So boss!

Yeah I love my dials also, I feel like the watch looks far too plain without them.

I'll PM you my opinion on g-shocks..

I love swatch

I own the white version from these sexy time-tellers

(Image removed from quote.)
Wow they look good. How much are they, also where do you buy them from?

I bought mine in Hong Kong for 600HKD (roughly $80~$90) but everything is generally cheaper in HK

I know the swatch shop in Chadstone has it but not sure how much it is

I remember the Swatch in Chadstone but I think that has since shut down or relocated.

I didn't even know there was a Toys R Us at Chadstone.. That must be where the older store I remember relocated to.

I have a Citizen watch my grandmother gave me for my 18th birthday.

When  I was younger I had a mickey mouse watch and I rocked that mother fucker like it was a rolex.

Every time I walk past the Jeweller at Eastland on my way to Big W I see the mickey mouse fob watch for $400 and wish that I had the money to own it.
