thanks for the encouragement, but there's no point lying to myself. I can't get 50 physics anymore; i'll need to full mark end of years for a 49. last years cutoff was 78, this year it's 82, 86.5 this year is probably equivalent to 85 last year. I'll sook about it today then try pick myself up tomorrow

the difference between a 49 and a 50 in physics is 0.4 on your aggregate, it won't make a flying difference to your ATAR, unless you were unlucky enough to get on the border between 99.85 and 99.90, but seriously, you've already got one 50 in the bag, get 50 in Methods (cause it's the easiest out of all your subjects), do well in English (like 47+), and get a 45+ in spesh which should scale to like 53+ and you're set for 99.90+.

As I said earlier, this would of net a 99.90 last year:
eg. Physics (47), Bio (50), Chem (40), Eng (47), Methods (47), Spesh (45) gets 99.90, pretty sure you can do better than that anyway.

Pretty sure you can do better than that in any case.

Yeah. Except that I'm averaging mediums in SAC's... School makes them really hard so I donno if they'll get scaled or not but even if they do it's not like it magically gets scaled from medium to high...... After about 30 practice exams and checkpoints this is what I get..... man I wish I was crying over 86.5/90 like that guy above.

Yeah, I didn't do many practice exams haha. But Unit 4 I thought was a lot easier, but that's my opinion. You should do better in the end of year exam, as you would be more in exam focus unlike mid year.

Got a B. Is it still possible to get a 35 for physics, if i get an A for the end of year exam?
Yeah, do you know if it was a high B or a low B? And I would think that you would need to get a decent A in the final and a decent internal score.

I got 85/90 for physics and was wondering if I go really well end of year (drop 1 or 2 marks) is it possible to get a RAW 47. My SAC's should be 200/200 or close to it.

Cheers :)

Also just to let out frustration, lost 2 marks because I used 5.6 not 5.4 J in question 1, as in the question where the answer was in the question.... Lost two marks because I read the graph the wrong way around (the electricity lux one) and 1 mark on a calculation error. Ie stupid mistakes are the difference between a good mark and 50 :(
2011: Psychology [45]

2012: Methods [44-47], Specialist Maths [34-40], Chemistry [38-40], Physics [43-45], English [39-43]
ATAR: 98+
