Can i still get a 50 study score???

So basically I just found out for philosophy that I got 47/50 for the recent SAC. I have gotten 100% on all of my other SACs so far and I am wondering whether it is still possible to get a 50 in the subject, given of course that I do well in the exam????

Yes, of course you can. Just make sure that you do well in the rest of the SACs so that you're the highest placed student for overall marks at the end. If that doesn't happen, you'll have to blitz the exam (ie. get 100% or very close).

sigh...been said so many times but I'll repeat: Your actual raw sac scores do not matter, its only your cohort ranking that gets taken into account by VCAA when distributing your class's EXAM SCORES as your course work grading. Thats what they mean when they say "SAC scores get moderated".

Quote
Statistical moderation is a process for adjusting schools’ assessments to the same standard, while maintaining the students’ rank order given by the school.

Quote
Because the external score is based on examinations done by all students across the State, it is a common standard against which schools’ assessments can be compared.

They can't just use your real test scores because it wont be a level playing field eg some might get easier tests, etc. So in short, as long as your still ranked first or even second (as long as first place is able to pull of 50-worthy exam scores) then your all sweet :)

It depends on your rank, not your marks.

AN would be rich if they got $1 for every time someone asked this question and received this answer..
