I also thought the medical presentations were a bit lacking. However, the campus is beautiful and the Royal Dental Hospital was fascinating! :D

I lost my stress ball after throwing it too high in the air. :(

Also, I saw this little kid (he looked like he was in Year 7) crying because his parents wouldn't let him see the engineering faculty because they wanted him to do medicine. Poor kid.

This was the moment that stood out for me today:

From Monash Open Day in the med dep involving me and a curry mum and her yr9 (or so) son:
Me: So, why do you want to do med?
Yr9: Well, I'm not sure if I even want to do med, I'm also thinking about engineering
His Mum: No, tell him about how you want to study medicine? To become a doctor!
*Yr9 slowly backs away as his mum gives him a very sharp look*

awks.

:(

More of them :(

i dont mind biomed
from what i heard today, you can do the gamsat uk 1st yr, aus gamsat 2nd and 3rd year.
and you can manage to do study for it despite doing biomed i.e. workkload wise

so biomed is definitely an option for me.

and all set for colleges! Ormonds is sickkkkk

Workload of biomed is really not that bad. There may be a rather large rose tinted glasses effect in that statement but I never felt overwhelmed at any point

lets sign a petition to get that indian restaurant entirely run by asian people closed down while were at open day?

I went there thinking, OMG INDIAN FOOD.
nek minnit.
my hands are red for a week  ( they put in like a litre of food colouring to make it look good...)

Aren't Indians considered asian?
