Hi there, Andrew (werdna) and I are thinking of running a one-off Legal Studies lecture during the term 3 holidays, covering the key aspects of the Units 3 and 4 course. The reason for this thread is similar to what Andrew has done with his English lessons:
English Intensive Tutoring & Exam Prep - Interpreter/Growing Up Asian/L.Analysis. We've made this thread to see the number of people who would be keen on attending.
A bit about myself? I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Business (Accounting)/Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) double degree at Monash University, graduating from Camberwell Grammar School in 2011. I privately tutor 4-5 on-going Legal Studies students. My ATARNotes tutoring ad can be found
here. Their results have been of high standard, as none of them have gotten less than A+ for their SACs to date. I achieved a study score of 41 raw for Legal Studies, being equal rank 3 for SACs at my school. I achieved A+ overall (un-moderated) for both my Unit 3 and 4 SACs. My score isn't admittedly ideal, but I feel my teaching abilities and technique will compensate for that as reflected by my students' results. I have also mentored students previously at my high school; where I worked with students in the Bond University Mooting competition, in which they ended up representing Victoria in the national competition earlier this year.
The location for the lecture is not confirmed as of yet. It would either be at the same place as where Andrew is holding his English lessons or at a convenient location in the city. The lecture would go for 3-4 hours, as we won't be going through every detail in the course - more-so the main aspects/topics which get frequently asked in past exams/and where students have the most trouble in. We're taking the assumption that you understand the content, and what Andrew and I would be doing is clarifying and giving another perspective on how to tackle tricky/commonly-asked questions. We figure that there is no point covering the actual content in the course, because that can be done in your own time (or your teacher will cover) and it would be a waste of your money and our time.
Prices should be reasonable and it will be confirmed in the coming weeks if there is enough interest.
If you're at all interested in this, just post here saying 'YESSS PLEASE!' or something interesting like that. We hope to hear from you! If you have any further queries, feel free to post here in this thread or you can email me at
[email protected]. Andrew’s details/credentials can be found in his other thread, or he will post in this thread. Further details will be posted here in the coming weeks for those interested. At this stage, we're just trying to gauge the number of people interested.
Cheers,
William
