you scored a 75/75 for the mid year? D: thats amazing.
even if you lose like 3 marks in the end of year I reckon you'd still get a 50

I think the key word there is 'IF'

But yes, 2 perfect scores on exams is easily a 50 no matter what rank

similarly, what would I need for exam 2 to get a 46-49 (anything between there would be awesome :D), considering I got a mid-ish A+ for exam 1? (70.5/75)

How about if you just clinched (68/75) into the A+ mark? If you got a low-mid A+ on the Unit 4 exam, would that translate to around 43?

The Unit 4 exam better be a lot more difficult...

Wow i didnt know the A+ cut off was that insanely high this year.. Last year I lost more marks in MC itself than the A+ mark for this year :P

Assuming your SAC ranking isnt that bad, then I would presume losing around 3-4 marks should do it.. I doubt they would make the exam that easy, otherwise they would have to make scaling extremely high.

You would need at least a mid A+ to get around 43. I got 0.5 above A+ cut off for my unit 3 exam last year, was ranked mid-high in strong cohort, and i think got mid A+ and got 42..

Hehe it's halfway done because we (the cohort Choong and I are in, which you would be familiar with) had a lot of people get an A+ for the chemistry midyear.

And I was also kinda taking the mickey out of him because I finally overtook him in SACs after the most recent one :P

oh you're glenny as well? I had no idea :P

Well let me tell you one thing about our cohort lol.. I was pretty bad in SACS, as in no where near the top, and still got A+. So if you're doing alright in chem at our school. then i reckon A+ is banked for sacs ;)

You guys better not beat us in terms of 40+ scores though :P We had quite a lot :D

Your SACS would probably scale up to be honest with you so that gives you more leeway for the exam.

I spoke way too soon, dropped between 3-7 today. Absolute disaster.

Yeah I reckon there's a good chance a few of the top ranks will have 100/100 SACs, if that's possible. Should include choong and me, hopefully. I've just got my fingers crossed that our traditionally strong Methods cohort saves me as well, I'm on 40/60 for SACs so far and it's the only subject that I'm not ranked top 5 (possibly/probably between 5-10 for chem though) in so I'd rather NOT get like a 30 for it :S Do you know how those kind of SAC scores would have turned out at Glenny last year?
