Is it administratively possible to enroll in two single degrees simultaneously when the double is not offered?

A double in Arts and Secondary Ed. But there's no option for Arts (Global) in the double degree which would've been a nice addition. Oh well!

Just do Arts (Global) then a Masters or Diploma in Education. There, problem solved :P

A logical solution. I can't really justify not wanting to do that but I just want to be straight into Secondary Ed. I have no logical reason to support it but I wouldn't feel that comfortable not doing it lol.

Well if it sweetens the deal, a Masters in Education is more highly regarded than a Bachelor's in Education.

Also, it's much better to do a graduate teaching degree because your placements are much better...etc. I remember there being a post on it, but I would suggest graduate teaching.

Arts (global) is just normal arts with a compulsory major in international studies and a compulsory exchange

You can do all that with a normal arts/education degree, you just won't have the fancy schmancy (global) bit after it, and who cares anyway? :P

Oh, can you exchange with a regular Arts degree? Well. All of Brenden's problems solved LOL.

You get proper week long placements rather than the day placements you get with Arts/Ed

I'll keep that in mind :)

That's so cool! Might not even have to take a gap-semester.

Anyone heard of someone being employed part-time (maybe as a relief teacher, who knows?) at a school during their degree? That'd be pretty beast.

I don't think you can be employed in any sort of teaching position without having completed an education degree

I think for some private schools it's possible to waive the requirement a little bit (although they still require you to go and get the DipEd - just that they might hire you early and then make you do it if it's an obscure subject?), but this might be speaking about what was the case for the previous generation.
