Help with Rugmaker essay topic?

Hey so we're studying the Rugmaker of Mazar-e-Sharif as a reading and responding text
Any ideas for this topic?
"It is Najaf's faith that enables him to remain resilient. Discuss"
My ideas:
-PARA1:When he's in Australia, his faith in God helps him to remain resilient, specifically in Woomera
-PARA2: Survival of war destruction also allow him to remain resilient: e.g. surviving the bomb that hit the Mazari home,
-PARA3:What else?
I was going to just talk about his life in Afghanistan and how he often turned to God to remain  resilient, but it's a pretty weak idea in terms of discussion. Is it fine for me to just have another idea that goes against the topic? Like if I say that hope allows him to remain resilient: e.g.detainees who lost hope eventually ended up giving up (Main Camp)

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks :D

I think that you could talk about these three things (faith, hope and survival) and it should be okay. You must express your contention clearly though. I also think that a good point to include is the part where Najaf takes the two red pills and says "God provides" because that shows a prime event that encouraged him to remain faithful in God.

Good luck!
