Take it from me, i'm 18, never had a girlfriend myself, never gotten close to going out with any girl - no girl has ever liked me.

I can bet my bottom dollar this is not true!

Oh no no no i'm actually being legit here - it's true.

Not all girls are the same? some are socially awkward (like me) and I found my bf through mutual awkwardness

...our very first conversation was about Street Fighter and we even brought a laptop and a gaming stick to play it at a NYE party :X and we still be awkward and do things like build toy aeroplanes at Hargrave library

you will find someone one day who is a "brooding sociopath" like you and have brooding sociopath kids too!

and now ill just end this with a poem to wrap up what I have said

I think I prefer the term Republican now :d
And congrats that you found each other :)

Sorry to disappoint you, but that quote has been misattributed to Dr. Seuss. The real version was spoken by Robert Fulghum in True Love (1998) which goes like this:
"You want my opinion? We're all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness -- and call it love -- true love."

Even look for yourself:

Scroll down to near the bottom of the page until you see a big red box that reads "Misattributed".

Thirdly, the best thing you can do, in my opinion, is to just make yourself more attractive!! So that's the little things, get a nice haircut, shave, wear nice clothes and just all round try to actually look nice everyday, not only will it help with girls but it'll also help you feel more confident and confidence is a big factor if you're looking for a relationship.

I'm good at chess (not trying to sound arrogant, but the best in my school) except only guys play it. Considering that about 2/3rds of my school are females, I am quite disappointed.

Go see the musical Chess which is playing at the Exhibition Centre in Melbourne at the moment. You love chess. Girls love musicals. PERFECT!

But in all seriousness. I've only ever had one girlfriend because I myself have never LOOKED for a relationship. I never minded being single because I, like most people, am a little bit strange and didn't feel compatible with. My first relationship was with a girl who was my friend first, and it was because she was just a little bit strange too that I felt we were compatible. We were together all of Year 12, and I highly doubt it affected my grades at all. If you find someone in Year 12, take that opportunity because you may regret it for the rest of your life if you don't.

Unfortunately, as is life, we have gone our separate ways, but I have not found anybody else who I'd feel comfortable in a relationship with. I have not found anybody who I have had remote interest in establishing a relationship with... and I associate with a lot of females seeing as I'm doing Arts at Deakin! (Plus I also do amateur theatre which helps). Just wait; you'll find a person you're compatible with, trust me!

Wait until uni - you'll find a lot of people never dated in high school at all once you get there, and for some reason in first year particularly hormones are flying around everywhere.
