i print out exams for both bio and further. but i print them in a small booklet form (A5 when folded but uses A4 paper). even though it is small text you can still fit in all your answers. this also saves ink and paper.

just my thoughts

Buy a laser printer for $50-100, much more cheaper than printing it out from officeworks

Also worth mentioning that if you're worried about the price of ink, Cartridge World does refills at cheaper prices than buying new cartridges apparently, just don't expect a reply if you request a quote. I'm still waiting three weeks on.

Alternatively, bottles of ink refills can be bought cheaply off ebay and there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube to help with the process.

I've just looked up Paul's solution, and it seems very feasible.
Brother HL-2132 Mono Laser Printer seems to be a pretty decent entry level printer and has stock toner of about 500 pages.  Assuming ideal conditions, 500 pages probably isn't a whole lot interms of exam papers, I just pulled a random Methods one out and it has 21 pages, which means (assuming 21 is average) you'll print about 25-ish exam papers for Methods on the stock toner (again assuming ideal conditions).  Additionally, you can buy more toner, a quick eBay found 2x HL-2132 toner cartridges for $42.00 that have the capacity to print 2600 pages each.  Rounding it up to $102.83 for printer + 5700 pages.
