Key features of NHPAs

According to the study design, we need to know the key features, determinants that act as risk factors and reasons for selection of each NHPA.
What does 'key features' mean? How much do we need to know about the features of each NHPA?

"Key features" just pretty much asks for WHAT the NHPA is (kind of like a definition) and what the condition entails (so how it's caused or what it involves); if you take the case of Asthma, you would explain that:  Asthma is a chronic disease most prevalent in children and also adults which constricts the bronchioles of the lungs when exposed to specific triggers (such as dust, mould or pet hair), and thus causes wheezing, coughing and a severe difficulty in breathing. You could add more to this, but the rest of the info could be incorporated under "reasons for selection of nhpa"
