People who walk barefoot in uni

I don't know if it's just at La Trobe or not but I see so many people who walk around with no shoes around campus, and worst of all, in lectures.

What are your opinions on this?

Haha - I'm not in Uni yet, but that sounds beserk...I guess it's abnormal to me because everyone at school wears shoes - waiting to see someone walking around barefoot on campus  :P..Actually, that's a good idea for muck-up day  :D

There was once I was chiling at uni with a mate. His shoes kept coming off for some unknown reason. Eventually he got so pissed off that he took them off, threw them at a tree, and continued on with the rest of his day barefoot.

I laughed.

Is there some sort of outrage about bare-footedness now? There aren't used needles or pieces of broken glass just lying in the middle of footpaths what is the big deal?
