No way. You have a chance at Monash, and maybe some other interstate unis too (like UQ)

Not many in first round interview offers as a lot of unis have UMAT cut-offs for first round. If you could get a higher ATAR (say 99.70+) then you could be in with a chance for a Monash and UNSW interview.

Of course there's still JCU which doesn't use UMAT.

Wow back in my day 186 was 91%ile or so haha (claiming that class of 2011 is superior here).

I'd say you have a good chance with Monash providing you have a solid ATAR (99+ would help), UNSW, Newcastle, and of course JCU is still on the cards

I completely failed the umat. got 85%ile,

looking at dentistry at adelaide uni. If I get around 99.6, is there still a chance?

My other option seems to be Bond. Likewise, do I have a chance?

To be honest, I'm not overly familiar with Dentistry and the percentile I have listed is an approximate as I couldn't find the exact UMAT cut-off (and I don't think I know anyone doing dent there to ask). But I'd say given the approximation you still have a chance! 99.60 might also be fine for LaTrobe dent this year, if you're keen on dent

With Bond, that's more than enough for an interview. I'd read people getting interviews with 97.xx ATAR and a UMAT of 166, so you should be well above that?

Any idea what type of ATAR you could get? Monash/UNSW could be possible with ATARs like 99.6+.

Also, JCU and the like are still very much on the cards!

but we're moving to Perth next year ( cause my dad has changed his workplace!) . So no monash for me! We'll see what happens!
So happy but . I  wasn't expecting that high ! I shall buy myself a 30 cent cone from Maccers today

Probably, given that 92%ile is correlating to a lower score than in previous years. Ideally you'd want 99.5+ or so given that.

I'm not planning to do med anyway , I'm not very interested. So I put Pharmacy / Commerce as my first preference for vtac .  Medicine is probably going to be a backup!
