"Conflict is inevitable"

So I'm trying to get back into the swing of writing context expository essays and finding it difficult.  :'(

The title is my prompt and I'm planning to explore it by first looking at a conflict where people were dragged unwillingly into it and for them, it was inevitable. Then I want to talk about situations where conflict is avoidable and maybe then talk about situations where people have chosen to become a part of a conflict and situations where people have either stopped a conflict from occuring or walked away as to not be involved in it.

What other ideas could I explore with this prompt in mind?

You could talk about why it's inevitable. My reasoning for this would be along the lines is that we each have different needs, desires i.e. society is made up individuals. Since this is the case, naturally conflict arises because (for example) one person/group might feel they're getting the short end of the stick or that they have a different viewpoint on the world.

You could discuss the consequences/impact of conflict being inevitable. If it's inevitable, then we have no choice but to deal with it as a society. Does that mean it's an ingrained, natural part of human life?

What do we get out of dealing with it? Do we gain from conflict, or do we lose from conflict?

Thank you. I really like your first point. I'll work on exploring that side of the prompt. Xx
