I enjoy watching it in the same way I might enjoy watching Jersey Shore or Big Brother - whenever I'm feeling exceptionally bored, and I want to watch idiotic people doing idiotic things, it's there to be consumed.

It's just annoying to see stereotypes that "smart people = socially retarded" and "hot people = dumb" being perpetuated... As hutchoo said, it's just fake girls who need an education and incredibly lame guys who were probably not allowed to go out of the house past 5pm even when they turned 18.

I love that one. How about Troy's explanation of the invention of time? :P

"In Jerusalem when they didn't have time, they used to trade goats during the day but then run out of daylight and couldn't see at night. So they had to work out a method of how long they have to move their sheep into the paddocks, so they came up with a thing called the Rolex and they decided to call it time."

Quote, one of the beauties.
"My friends say I speak jiberish, but that doesn't make sense because I've never even been to that country!"

Surely, that is scripted.

I honestly do not comprehend how people can actually get that stupid. I mean, we do have an adequate education system in Australia in which you're meant to attend school until the end of Year 10... even if you're not the brightest spark, surely you'd have some level of knowledge. :S

Surely no one actually believes most of the ridiculously dumb things the beauties say are legit? It's so clear that it's scripted.. The poor acting skills of the beauties say it all.

Also the geeks are totally moulded too, you can tell they've been told what to wear and to grow beards, etc to look more nerdy.. Most of the things they say aren't even that smart and just make them look like they're trying too hard to look smart or act dorky..

But anyway, I think it's a pretty entertaining show even though it's incredibly set up.. Sometimes they just go way too far with what the contestants get told to say..

Like 99% of shows like these are simply the product of producers..

What they do, is that they compile the Overheard section in the mx and gives them to the beauties as scripts
the geeks shouldnt be just smart people, they should be like fat comic book mums basement people, and the beautys should be legit beautys not cakefaces
^^
If there ain't neckbeards reeking of nachos and referencing obscure DnD fiction, not a real geek

It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

Very true. One of the geeks from last season was actually a past student of my school, and from what I'd heard from the older guys, he wasn't at all intellectually talented. Played it up well though, just used it to meet some good looking girls and have a good few weeks.
