Australia is more multicultural than South Africa. We never had an apartheid.

Still had a genocide. That's not really what the OP is looking for S@S, she wants comparisons on the ways the different Constitutions protect rights.

Apartheid is used these days to refer specifically to Sth Africa; in terms of what happened in Australia it was still fundamentally apartheid, it's just not called that
(i don't know if this is relevant, i'm going to slowly back out of the law thread now)

Oh, nevermind my response then.

I don't do legal studies so I will slowly back out of this thread as well before a huge argument begins...

Getting back on topic, try the Notes section of ATARNotes (http://www.atarnotes.com/?p=notes) as there might be some notes on Australia/South Africa. Otherwise, your textbook is the next best solution. This topic of Unit 3 isn't too difficult; in a question regarding the comparison between Australia and another country - look at the similarities and differences between the two. You don't have to conclude as to which country is better in protecting rights. I'd always try to remain impartial, and end with something like "In retrospect, both countries have their individual merits in how they protect their rights respectively."
