I love this song. And it is relevant to identity and belonging so much I think. I have some experiences that tear me apart from my community. Can these lines

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

help me when writing an insightful piece derived from personal experiences in imaginative style? To make it clear, if you are Turkish two things are fundamentally important: religion and patriotism..and I've been feeling the absence of these things for a long time period...I mean I don't wanna do military service and am a non religious person.

Those lines would definitely be relevant. You can feel the yearning for a peaceful world emanating from them.

I'd be interested to see how you plan to slot them into your creative piece.
I think, I speak, I act. Therefore... I create my own reality.

Well if it is 'personal' to you then there is only so little we can do.

I mean if I write very personal thing, is that still as effective as a formal piece? Or the assessors just go' how do I know this is right?'

Evidence is not so important for context. The assessors want to see that you can explore ideas intelligently so I think you CAN talk about your own personal things but express it conceptually, not like a biography.

If I may interject, I would say that using the basis of your piece linking to the lyrics would be a good way to go. In creative you don't actually say where you get your evidence, you just pull out ideas (almost like flour, milk, cake mix) and mash it all together-> to make a cake!
The lyrics imply themes such as(forgive me, I'm thinking on my feet...or rather on my keyboard but anyways): no boundaries-> everyone equal, acceptance, conformity to a degree, zero individual identity.
So play up on those (there are obviously more)
