question about final preparations?

I have read (somewhere on this forum) that the key to preparing is knowing your really text well.
I realize also that my main problem is writing succinctly in each paragraph- so my preparation so far has involved: re-reading the book and the play, and (re-)annotating them as I go along- as well as doing a practice paragraph in 7 minutes whenever I read something noteworthy in either of the two text.
Am I going about my revision the right way? Or should I be focusing on doing practice essays at this point?

I might try what you're doing, actually- it sounds like a good idea.

You probably should be doing practice essays as well, though.

I'm trying to collate my interpretations at the moment by consolidating my close readings of each Hamlet soliloquy and key passages from Mrs Dalloway. I'm also reading essays from my classmates and other people so I can critique them and figure out what really makes a good essay.

Also, this is directed to anyone else who is doing Hamlet- what do you think are the chances that they will have "to be or not to be " as one of the passages? It hasn't yet made an appearance in previous exams and this is the last time Hamlet will be on the list of lit texts to be studied! Maybe this is the year?

you're lucky atleast!-doing Hamlet. I'm stuck with stupid Two Brothers. I've done it so many times to the extent that it disgusts me with its disgustingly Australian vernacular and its bogan language and disgusting blah blah blah. Right now I'm just trying to learn from some of the essays compiled in the Literature Essay compilation thread- there's some examples of really good language there.

That's what the Lit teacher from the other campus is predicting, I'm not too sure on it, but I'm definitely going to continue to write on it as practice! My best bet is Claudius' little soliloquy where he is praying.

They've done neither Claudius' Act 3 Scene 3 soliloquy nor Hamlet's soliloquy in the same scene.  Other major speeches that they haven't done yet:

"To thine own self be true"
"Do you think I am easier to be played upon than a pipe?"
"There is a special providence in the fall of a sparrow"
"Good night sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest"
