Help with CAS and a question

yo guys, was just doing the 2008 vcaa exam 2, and for the last question, where you had to sketch the graph of y=h(x), I use the CAS classpad, and when I saw the result, it looked no way near the answers. I even set the domain appropriately.

And also , are there any ways for the Cas to solve questions like cos^2 (x) = 1/2   ? I always get no solution and then have to just do it manually.

What was h(x) ? Did you check if you had the equation typed out properly and you put in correct values for axis? This can be pretty problematic, 1 wrong number and you get some crazy shit!
Use the solve function: solve(cos^2 (x) = 1/2,x) that would give you general solutions of x. If you want it within a certain domain type: solve(cos^2 (x) = 1/2,x)|0<x<2pi
