Everyone post-mortem btw. What kind of marks do you think you're looking at for yourselves?

Myself:
Analysis - 9
POV - 8-9
Minimum - 14-16
Blueprints - 16-18

Min mark out of 60: 47
Max out of 60: 52

This was probably the best exam they could have given me, to be honest. As much as I suck at English, I actually felt CONFIDENT coming out. Which... is a first. :P

My thoughts on the exam
It was a reasonable exam, although the sacrifice question for The Quiet American screwed me over. I tried relating to humans judging morality based on the situation. Anyone else do that?

I did that topic. That was a particularly difficult one, I wrote that Greene's philosophies on war (e.g. that war tries to justify killing for a cause) are against what Fowler did, and that the end never justifies the means.

As for my exam, I was reasonably happy with the I'm Not Scared part 1 topic, and the TQA topic for part 2. Both were challenging and I felt my structure let me down a bit but I think I managed to get plenty of good ideas for it. The media part was what I'd hoped for, the analysis wasn't too difficult (albeit a bit long) and the point of view wasn't too hard either.

I hope I've managed to get enough marks to get my study score close to my target one... after probably an A average all year.

Lets just hope for the best, since there is nothing we can do to change our scores for the english exam. ( unless we bribe the examiners -highly unlikely)

Was quite happy with my analysis but had to quickly write on the 2nd piece because the 1st was very long.
Very happy with my point-of-view (will probably do the best in that)
Was happy with my Part 1 Essay on Hamlet (liked the question)
Not very happy with my Part 2 Essay on I'm Not Scared because I didn't like the question at all, but had no choice because I did Part 1 on Hamlet.

Overall, the exam was much as I expected. I knew I wouldn't like one of the topics.

Well I feel really confident about my exam.

I started with Part 2, knocked over the double analysis in 4 pages in about 35 minutes, then did the speech in 25 which was 2 pages.

Part 1 essay of Minimum of Two was a good topic. I've read and planned numerous topics like it before.

Part 2 essay of I'm Not Scared was complete shit and deserves to die. But I think I did it okay. It will be my worst section though.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the exam. The issues section was generous, as the pieces were nice, and the inclusion of speech and letter to the editor was very nice of mister VCAA.
rediction of Scores:

English: 40 (hopefully) ; Spec: 40, Methods: 40-45, Physics 35, Enhancement: HD. Last year- History 38; I.T 42.

Hopeful ENTER 98. (I need it for my scholarship :()

I want to do it at monash but if not, at melbourne. If I can;t get into enginneering first round, I would probably go for a bachelor of science at melbourne and study the basic sciences so I can transfer into vet science or something...if not, i want to become a teacher!!

Yes..i did apply for seas...for 3 categories....

I hate humanity subjects...I wish I could do ESL

I think the exam was alright, wasn't hard and it wasn't easy.
I did the POV first (letter to the editor) 2pages
Text Response Part 1 (Accidental Tourist)3 pages
Analysis task 2 pages
Text Response Part 2 (Lantana) 3 pages

I hope I wrote enough... I finished like 30 mins early but I left at 12..

I think I did alright, hope you all did well too :)
