it was JUST the analysis. rofl. she showed me her paper afterwards, there were annotations and highlighted bits of text everywhere...I barely spent 2 minutes annotating o_o

yeah time management is so crucial, that's why I'm relieved just to know I finished in time

Simon, ALOT of people did that (I did it too.. same persona as well).

From my knowledge, in 2003 or 2004 a high percentile of students misread the question for the POV, and could only achieve a maximum of 6.

With your response you'd have probably covered the actual question in your reasonings anyway, so don't worry.

And as for spending 2 hours on the analysis, Wow.. o_O

yeh while i liked the topic, i didnt make it work very well either. but i had fortuntely read the preface just last nite, and its talks a lot about bolt's ideas of society and the individual and stuff.. i think i talked about society being built around convenience and that quote how if most people want a divorce, they get it if its convenient or not if not, but if the key wants a divorce everything shifts to make that convenient or something.. so i said that the values were shaped according to the most powerful group.. then i said that individuals willing to adapt to this could gain consideral personal physcial success in such a society, but ultimate lost their freedom and hence kind of lost their individuality.. and then i said that when ones personal values come into conflict wiht most powerful group, and are unwillig to stand aside, ultimately they cease to have a place in that society and are deestroyed or something

meanwhile the look both ways topic.. i really regret choosing lbw because my essay so simplistic and yr 7 sounding it was horrible

Not to mention spending an hour annotating... You don't get any marks for that.

Mel you're a really good writer. I bet you're underestimating your score on the other 3 pieces. POV is worth 1/6th, not so much. I hope you do well.

It'll be interesting as to what they deem to be completely 'misreading' the question or whatever...

Well, the other year the mistake was more major then this year.

If you wrote that children should be protected, you're still sort of addressing whether or not overprotection exists in society. Sort of =)
