Well I feel really confident about my exam.

I started with Part 2, knocked over the double analysis in 4 pages in about 35 minutes, then did the speech in 25 which was 2 pages.

Part 1 essay of Minimum of Two was a good topic. I've read and planned numerous topics like it before.

Part 2 essay of I'm Not Scared was complete shit and deserves to die. But I think I did it okay. It will be my worst section though.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the exam. The issues section was generous, as the pieces were nice, and the inclusion of speech and letter to the editor was very nice of mister VCAA.

Really? Minimum part 1 was nice? What'd you write for it, I'm curious to know?

From memory (and considering I'm quite braindead at the moment isn't too good), my split was something like:

Characters without connections are shown to suffer, as they cannot find their identity (drawing upon T.W.W.D.A.W.F.D, and N.M.C)
Characters with connections they understand are able to develop their identity and benefit (Jerra in gravity, Rachel in T.S.O, Queenie in Laps)
Characters with connections who don't understand them get a false sense of identity, and suffer as a consequence (Madigan from M.o.T)
rediction of Scores:

English: 40 (hopefully) ; Spec: 40, Methods: 40-45, Physics 35, Enhancement: HD. Last year- History 38; I.T 42.

Hopeful ENTER 98. (I need it for my scholarship :()

I think the exam was alright, wasn't hard and it wasn't easy.
I did the POV first (letter to the editor) 2pages
Text Response Part 1 (Accidental Tourist)3 pages
Analysis task 2 pages
Text Response Part 2 (Lantana) 3 pages

I hope I wrote enough... I finished like 30 mins early but I left at 12..

I think I did alright, hope you all did well too :)

haha 30 mins early, and werent you stressing about how long it would take to write your vcaa number in?

also did anyone use the task material? i put in some meaningless statistic from the graph haha.

My hand was killing me during the final hour of the exam and my neck was tired after the exam. Who's hand fell off? Anyone?

i just got back from a looooooong lunch

I liked the exam, especially the issue. I was surprised that they kept the same POV's and was a little dissapointed at no editorial.

I did Part one Minimum of two 5.5 pages

Part 2 Hard Time 3.5 pages

glad it's over!!

I'm fairly confident that I did well.

Did anyone hear the rumour on the radio that the exam was available on the Internet last night?

Anyone notice that the exam said, up in the top corners from like, page 4 onwards, "VCAA exam 2006" ?

Question: Is quoting the task material for a point of view part as a speech a bad thing?

Since when is talkback radio a credible source of information?

I did Lantana part 1 and Kitey for part 2 (about 5.5 pages each).  Can't remember how much I wrote for lang. analysis around 4 pages I think, and I did the letter to ed. for POV, around 2 pages.

LOL, there was a spider in our exam room - they said people could ask for extra writing time if they felt "their concentration had been comprimised by the presence of the spider"....babies
