The answer for 9 of Core is B isn't it? D shows the smoothed values of september and october as being 7 and 7, when it's 5 and 5.
correct and to above, its frequency not percentage on the y axis

Geo and trig question 2, isnt the answer d?

Area of square = 4^2 =16

area of white section= 0.5xbxh
=0.5x3x4
=6

Area of shaded =16-6=10?

Also for question 4, yeah what timzoo said imo

why is q2 of core B? I got E like most of my other friends :(
I almost fell for the same thing, the question asks for percentage, but the graph is wind direction vs frequency (not percentage), so:
(10+25)/214 = gives roughly 16%

Surely Question 9 in core is D?

for the Last Point in October:
median is (n+1)/2
therefore median points are
3 and 12
3+12 = 15
15/2 = 7.5

which will look MOST LIKE answer D

if it were B - if just choosing the middle value, then 3 would be it
yet on the plot, it's a 5.
that's a fair bit off, 2 whole numbers.

After completing the five-median smoothing, this is what I got for each month.

Jan
Feb
March = 5
April = 6
May = 6
June = 6
July = 6
August =5
September = 5
October 3, 4, 5, 11, 12 = 5

It's therefore B.

I ran out of time and guessed 4 As, figuring "well, there's got to be at least one right in there."

This is what is very question, both should be giving you a similar answer because if you drew a line from  S and Q it will be half, s to T is just over half so ~6
