What are people predicting the all-important section C will be on this year?

I always see the other sections as 'all-important' as section C yields the least amount of marks ;)
I have a feeling it may be on something like GABA and it's role in phobias :)

But can you really write about GABA for 10 marks?

But can you really write about GABA for 10 marks?

* define it
* counterbalance with glutamate & define glutamate
* agonists and antagonists (example ~ benzodiazepines) - other medications - how this is a biological contributing factor
* inadequate levels of GABA lead to anxiety dysfunction - lead to phobia phaps - define phobia
* what are some ways of naturally inducing GABA apart from medication?
* and they'd probably give you a mark just for knowing what GABA actually stands for lol  :P

By the way, think this post needs to be moved by a moderator...??

I doubt it's gonna be on research methods again, and I certainly hope it's not.
But I'll be happy if it's on OTL/taste aversion/Garcia and Koelling or the psychodynamic model for phobias. Ahhh, Freud. ;)

Its very likely to be experimental design as that is a good discriminator-type question.
Either way, know research method very well - chapter 1 in the Grivas Textbook really helps!

This advice is probably a little too late seeing as the exam is tomorrow... but good luck!

studying the biopsychosocial framework, classical and operant conditioning alllllllll week, getting ready for an extended response on either question, thinking that there is nooooooo chance that VCAA would put in another ERA... how terribly wrong I was...
