Do we get penalised for writing too much?
For the depression question, I wrote waaaay too much. It was 4 marks, and I filled up the lines, plus half a page in the extra space section :S

Not unless you write something that's wrong. I did that for gambling too, wasn't sure what exactly they were after so I rambled on a bit.

I was unsure how much information they wanted also! When I was reading over my answers is struck me that the question for depression asked "Explain how" rather than just explain in regards to the antidepressant medication and CBT. So I wrote a bunch of extra stuff about how the medication inhibits the re-uptake of serotonin and adrenalin and allows these to accumulate at the synapse, etc. along with what the medication aims to actually do just in case. But I have no idea how they wanted us to answer. 

Ah, I was afraid that I was the only one who did this! I got so frustrated because I tend to carefully word things so that they fit perfectly into the lines given. But... they expected 4 marks worth in like 2 lines so I had no other choice, haha. I felt like I had to include:
- What the medication did (inhibit reuptake)
- What it meant (more serotonin/noradrenaline accumulated)
- And in turn, how the medication treated depression
- What cognitive therapy involved
- What behavioural therapy involved
- And in turn, how CBT treated depression
Not quite sure how they expected us to fit that in the space provided.

I did the same for gambling. I had two marks in the lines they far us for four marks, and two marks in the extra space that took up half a page.
