Iffy questions!
« on: November 05, 2012, 06:03:48 pm »
A bit of discussion about the weird questions!

Antecedent condition/discriminative stimulus multi choice question:
I said that the response was the daughter screaming and kicking, others thought it was stopping the screaming and kicking?

The one about why psychiatrists and psychologists use classification systems? Seemingly useless question.

fMRI question?
Multi choice about eustress, what the appraisal would be for it to be experienced? I said challenging, others disagree though.

What'd you guys write?!

I don't see how that multichoice answer could be anything but "challenging".

Also, what did you all say for emotion-focused coping?
I said that she could exercise to lessen her stress and that she could seek support from a psychologist or friends.
I feel that my answer sucked.

I said she could use denial or venting (I said vent her stress though which doesn't make that much sense.)

Did anyone put challenge for the primary appraisal question? Do you think they'd accept that or did it have to be harm/loss?

Nope. I did harm and threat but you might still get it.

Hey what did you all say for the fMRI one?

i said that is effective in emphasising the areas of the brain associated with learning as they are active during a learning task in a fMRI .

cant believe they re-hashed previous unit 3 material in this exam (i know it was also in unit 4, but still...)
