Huh? I'm not even trolling, this is a serious question. I'm guessing you probably didn't understand what I was trying to ask. But thats understandable, as I see you are doing ESL.

His english is probably better than yours.

And in all seriousness, if you actually got 6/40, you wouldnt be able to get 40+ even if you full-marked tomorrow because you would have lost 34 marks in 1 exam, when 40+ people lose maybe 12-14 marks combined on 2 exams

Okay thanks. Quite disappointing really, after spending so many hours studying Methods. A few silly mistakes really cost me in exam 1. So I'm hoping I can minimise these errors, and get close to, if not full marks in Exam 2.

I don't think "a few silly errors" equates to 6/40.
