I was highly distracted in the exam, kept thinking about the legal exam i had next, so i probably spent 40 mins on french luitenants woman and 50 mins on Blake. In all honesty my mind was just else where in the exam, I was thinking about everything but Lit :( I was even distracted by the fact that the page number didn't match the question numbers, probably spent a solid 3 mins thinking about that LOL, oh well its done now

On the plus side, you're doing English next year. You can learn from your mistakes this year and then demolish that English exam!

My first script book only had room for writing on every other page! Was just a bit of an added stress on the day but I think I nailed both my Mansfield and Friel papers.

I had written on two of the Mansfield passages and two of the Friel Passages - both were absolutely perfect! I predicted the passage from Frau Fischer as being on - probably my favourite passage to write on!

Excellent work by VCAA in my opinion regarding choice of passages. I had a quick look at the Capote passages later on and thought they were reasonably accessible. Did anyone in Victoria write on The Aunt's Story? My teacher guessed no more than five would haha.

I did the Aunt's Story last year in my exam. LOL, that novel is like Mrs. Dalloway on crack. Apparently only few students did it in my year and I'm pretty sure all of those students were from my school

For people who wrote on Blake.. Did you discuss the images of the Tyger and Lamb down the bottom of the page?
My teacher had told us not to because that's what an assessor told him but I heard some people at other schools analysed the pictures.. I'm a bit worried now. The pictures completely threw me off when I first saw them!

I'm almost certain that you won't get marked down for not analysing it. Remember that it's not like English Section C where everybody analyses the same piece. Only a slim percentage of the state would have studied Blake, and the images wouldn't be considered as significant a part of the passage/text as images are in Language Analysis as a persuasive device.

Just out of curiosity, what did you get for Classics last year? No pressure to answer though (:

Thank you You've made me feel a lot better - hearing some people talked about it freaked me out!

Oh no, I'm happy to answer! I got a 34. :) I completely panicked and didn't go too well in the exam.. Did you do classics this year/last year? It helped me so much with lit this year!

Yeah it is such a shame it isn't a very popular subject...  I absolutely loved it!
