I think the political economy models we studied were the spiral of silence and the cultrual imperial theory. Though the agenda setting function theory can also be applied to the political economy model in some ways while in others in belongs to the cultrual effects tradition...

Oh we didn't study those theories... :S  My class only looked at hypodermic, cultivation, reinforcement, agenda setting, uses and grats, post-modernism, two step flow & multi step flow. Do you think if I justify why Agenda Setting has elements of the political economy model I would be fine?

It should be. One of things we linked with it for the political economy model part of it was the advertisements sponsored by the mining companies that were a way of opposing the mining tax but they looked like normal articles just they were sponsored and written by the mining groups....

Effect Tradition/Cultural Effects are the Bullet Theory, and the Social Learning Theory.
and a Reception Theories/Cultural Studies is the Uses and Gratifications Theory

Yeah reinforcement theory is also reception/cutural studies tradition.
