I saw this on the truth game and was just wondering how everyone found this site.

I googled something about Language analysis and something in the notes section of this site came up?

then after stalking the site for about a week. I wanted to make an account so I registered !

I was looking for Physics notes that could help me, and found this site with all the AMAZING resources, and then literally spent a few days just downloading everything and anything I found.

Then I felt guilty, so I joined:)

I actually found it while looking for *cough* copyright material *cough* back in the day of VCE Notes ::) Saw it was a great community and decided to chip in :)

9000-odd posts later, here I am :D Good to see AN has progressed to where it is now, some really great changes :D

I was just being facetious :P To answer your question, there was nothing online for VCE students. So I made something. Here we are, 5 years later.

I stumbled across ATARNotes a few times while googling VCE stuff, but for the first couple of times I just ignored the site - it annoyed me that I couldn't read the forums as a guest and I didn't see why I should have to register. Probably a bad move on my part, but I didn't realise how much activity there actually was behind the boards with the log-in screen.

Eventually I did, partially because I wanted to ask if anyone knew when iTute usually puts up solutions to the practice exams they write (nobody answered my question either :() and also because curiousity got the better of me.

I think it's better now that you can read the forums as a guest though - it's a lot more obvious to anyone stumbling across the site that it's more than worth signing up for.

I think I too came looking for practice exams (after having a really s*** day at school), kinda wish I had of found AN before halfway through year 12 though. Started helping out in the maths boards where I could, to help cement my knowledge and see if I could explain it to others, while getting help from the chem and physics boards.

The thing with AN is, if you stay over these holidays after finishing year 12, you're here forever, and you can't get away :P

Nowdays just helping out where I can on the maths boards, just to give something back to a great resource and community that helped me a lot during year 12.

I think I was searching for some resources for Literature 1/2 in 2010, on Google, and then I found this site! Then I forgot about it for a while, and rediscovered it this year through the help of a friend.

i always knew it existed through school, but didnt pay much attention to it. at the end of year 12, i thought about where i would advertise for tutoring, and a lot of people said atarnotes (then called VCEnotes). so one of my first posts was an advertising post, and i just kept posting and really enjoyed it :)

I found it by googling theatre studies VCE. I really wanted to find other people who did the subject (as its a small cohort) to discuss all things Drama. However i found the site, and realised the theatre studies board was practically dead :(, but then i had a bit of a look through the other threads and realised psychology was a popular thread! i joined when i wanted to participate in mid year exam discussion :P now i am addicted and my family bag me all the time for being on 'Kate, you have finished school, why are you still on that site?' haha its my new nerdy facebook!
what a year it has been, thank goodness it is over, bring on a new chapter!
