My class scored so lowly in the methods test that we had to redo it
15/48 for life

What are the initials of your teacher out of curiosity?

Head of spesh apparently, good teacher but we're bad students

And nah I don't think it happens often, my class is mostly the students who do a ton of sport/cocurricular and try to sit in the back rows, and stare at their iPads

I got an 88% average for my Methods test and to be honest I was quite disappointed with it, because I made 5 mistakes which transposed to 12% off.. Oh well, I had a Further SAC that same week so it was a bit of a compromise in my opinion. I adore the subject though; a nice change from the Further Maths work, which is extremely easy :) Methods is at times a challenge, and I love a good challenge.. just not a challenge in any SACs/tests/exams lol

Do schools usually let you change subjects past this time of year? I heard you could change again mid year

Yes :) At mid-year, you can drop a unit (unit 1), and so pick up Unit 2 of another subject. My friend who is in year 12 this year dropped Physics, Biology and Chemistry mid-year, and picked up Psychology, Business and Math Methods at Unit 2 :)

the dropping it before the sac just to avoid it was the funny part because in the period of the sac one of the classes had like half its regular amount of students in it LMAO the kids who fail(me and close friends included) dont mind because alot of kids did or barely passed, maths faculty got scolded bad haha

on another note; do you think its better for a school to have ridiculously hard sacs, reasonable, or easy ones?
i heard one of the teachers saying its good that sacs are hard because the exam will be easier, but if kids arnt passing doesnt that defeat the purpose? but in easy ones, most people will get at least an S but differentiating at the top end would be harder?

IMO, having harder sacs are better. This way it is easier to separate the excellent students from the rest of the cohort. I found this with my school, and not only did I find the exam wayy easier, after the moderation process my SACS jumped up a whole grade  :)

I don't think there's a point in ridiculously hard SACs -- I feel that it's best to have SACs that are difficult enough to be able to distinguish the top students from the good students, but not one that's so ridiculously hard that the majority of students wouldn't be able to pass.

Hi guys I need advice.

At the end of last year, I chose to do Psychology. In the beginning of the year, 2 weeks in, I changed my mind and chose Physics. I really want to do Specialist Maths, but because I've changed already, I thought that I might wait until the end of this year and then decide what I'm going to do. What do you guys think I should think about and what I should consider when making my decision?

You aren't going to get away doing Spesh 3/4 without 1/2.. definitely (I doubt your school will even allow it)
Swap now or midyear

P.S Spesh sucks
