yeah i'm not really enjoying some of my subjects, which is making year 12 a lot more draining. unfortunately our school kinda sucks in terms of offering subjects :P
i'm hoping to make up for an extremely lazy unit three by going HAM for unit four. my marks have been pretty good so far, but i'm so far behind i'm barely hanging on hahah. if you've noticed i've been away in bio a bit recently, it's mostly cos i hadn't done the homework and stayed home to avoid her wrath :P

but yeah these holidays i'm gonna try work ahead, so i can make sure i don't fall behind again. as long as the world cup doesn't get in the way (it totally will)i'm gonna agree with these, except i reckon japan vs. ivory coast will end up a draw. still pegging germany to win the cup
either that or ireland will win, but krum will catch the snitch  ::)
Yeah it does suck with schools like ours not offering a range of subjects that would allow students to achieve their potential. Bio is the one subject I chose because there was nothing else, I do find it quite interesting but it is pretty draining yeah?
Hahahahah yes, she actually gave a massive lecture about the class performance on the practice exam, the highest mark was 59% (I got 54).
I'm sure you'll be fine, if your marks are good then you aren't that far behind. I can imagine if you get ahead you'll really ace all your sacs :)

Yes, thanks for the advice.

I will try and be even more active to study smarter and not harder in Unit 4.
chasej explained it beautifully. It is essentially pointless to go through endless amounts of practice sacs if you aren't taking into consideration what you're doing wrong. Writing notes, completing a hundred practice exams and reading the textbook is pretty much a waste of time, yet many adopt these study methods. From my first legal sac to the last, I've improved every time because I've learnt how to answer questions correctly and I've learnt how to manage my time when writing responses. For English, I always get the teacher to mark my essays, and then I redo them and get them to mark the same essay again, this way I actually correct my mistakes and start to improve. Don't be so bummed about sac results, they are perfect for allowing you to work towards improvement until the end-of-year exam.

You know ivory coast have never gone past the group stage? Hope they do this time, hope both japan and ivory coast do!
I'd love Drogba to win it haha (Chelsea fan) & Japan just put Asia on the map :p
But looking at Colombia, I think only Ivory Coast will get in.

Mine too. I would have done VCE so differently had my school offered more subjects. I guess going to a school with 40 year 12 students means this. I would have done Methods and Bio as 3/4 in year 11, and done Specialist, Chem, Literature and English in year 12!
yeah i wouldn't be doing half of my subjects if i had more of a choice haha. ideally i probably would have done revolutions and psych in year 11, and then maybe english, lit, german, classical studies, further/methods and economics/global politics/philosophy in year 12. i'm definitely more of a humanities kid but the only humanities subject my school offers is legal studies  ::)
Same goes! I feel like I need to be stressed because of the context haha.
LOL
Well Uruguay was an upset! Cavani :(
yeah that was a surprise. i reckon uruguay could still make it through to the next round if they beat england and draw with italy though

haha i think 'interesting but draining' sums it up pretty well. i thought immunity was pretty cool but for the most part i find it really hard to motivate myself to do bio. i picked it for the same reason as you - there was nothing else lol. it's going to be my bottom subject but i don't really want to neglect it completely.
tbh i think she lectures us after every test/sac so i'm not too surprised :P
thanks man, i hope so! i want to try smash out english so that's my main concern atm. you're going to destroy this year for sure though haha, you can definitely look forward to december 15th :)

I really think Chile will get in round of 16 with the Netherlands of course.
Spain's old system is just outplayed this time around, their play is so predictable haha.

After winning last time, I don't really think Spain has the will and determination to win another. That's from not just watching their game against Netherlands, but also some other games.

Spot on really. The players don't see it as a dream anymore, its already been accomplished. They've set themselves to win the World Cup throughout their whole international career and once its done, its more like a job now, a task to be the defending champions. Nothings like the first time!

(Just my thoughts of course haha)
