Can someone tell me in LOTE subjects with the written component, it asks for 200-300 words. If I was to go over, say 350-400, would I be jeopardising any marks? I've lost marks in SACs for the same reason, but I don't know whether it is the case in the exam.

Really glad I've decided not to check my answers/engage in post-exam discussions. It's really just taking the whole thing off my mind. I have one more exam to go, and then I'll be free. Congratulations to those who've finished today, and I wish those who have any more exams to go, the very best of luck.

I am doing Indo and apparently they just stop reading it after around 400 words, but how are they to know what is 300 and what is 350, unless they counted every word? So no, I think it would be petty to penalise you, but don't go overboard and write a 600 word essay.

Don't go over 330. Some assessors will actually count (not each word, but like 10 words per line x 30 lines = whatever)
Unlike other subject where word limit is just a guideline, they are testing your ability to be concise in language exams. In all likelihood you won't get penalised, but I know a few teachers in Indo, French, German and Chinese who would all deduct a mark or two for going overboard.

Best to play it safe and just spend any extra time you have going over short answer marks :)

Going to be the best week of my life. Too bad reality will hit me shortly after that.
