Anyone have any suggestions for semi-constructive hobbies to get into now that, at times, I have nothing to do?

I've been reading books (and studying Kabbalah - but that probably won't interest most ahah).

Books are good, can learn and relax at the same time. Especially if you read mainly history/politics books like me.
Graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in June 2020.

Completing Practical Legal Training (Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice)

Offering 2021 Tutoring in VCE Legal Studies (Awarded as Bialik College's top Legal Studies Student in 2014).

Offered via Zoom or in person across Melbourne.  Message me to discuss. Very limited places available.

aaw I kind of want my post count back? but I suppose I'm going to use this site after results and then that will probably be it so it's not going to matter anyway.
I've been reminiscing and I used this site a lot as a year 11 but this year I found that whenever I did log on it was to procrastinate and I didn't have time to scroll through posts and find information useful to me. It was a good tool to use as motivation but I feel like a lot of people use it to 'brag' (sorry if that's blunt) about their study scores. Personally, I was always too scared to ask for help on here but looked for other questions that were similar to mine. There was a point when atarnotes was useful to me but as a year 12 student it wasn't. Which is weird when you think about it.

I'm going to miss the community :'(, but I wish you guys luck and hopefully everything turns out okay even if for some people the journey is longer. We shouldn't be on here anxiously awaiting results but living the lives we have been waiting for. We are free and should all be out doing things.

The said mod was obviously annoyed by a user who presumed he had the right to speak on behalf of us by saying "fight us mod" and decided to lock the whole thread when it was that user (and a small minority's) fault only.

For what it's worth, I was taking the piss. Given I have never spoken to fyrefly, I can understand why it caused some extra conflict, which I regret, but surely you don't think I was actually inviting an argument with the mod, or speaking on behalf of anyone but myself.

Anyway, what do you want me to do or say? Close my account and never visit the website again? Write an extended apology? I stand by my original post - the meaner action was downvoting what was a really emotionally honest post, but that is pretty immaterial now.

So, putting this little bit of drama behind us - how are you guys finding schoolies?

How long do you wait until you have no hope they'll contact you for an interview? I handed one in on Friday and i'm having the feeling i won't get an interview but in the mean time, i'll just apply for more.
On another note, is any one going to Stereosonic next week? A 17 y/o here that can't go :'( :(

Do we have to tick any boxes to allow our study scores (which are >40) to be published in the paper?

yeah, on one of the vce forms that you had to sign (which had the list of subjects that you were doing), there was a question that was something like 'allow scores above 40 to be published' and you had to put 'Y' to give newspapers the permission to do so
Offering tuition - PM for details!

there's a form at the beginning of the year you fill out. contact your school if you want to know what you selected. I think it's too late to change the details on the form now though. I believe the cut off was last friday.

Thanks guys, I think I have done that. One more question, do 3&4 subjects we did last year show up in this years publishing?

Hint: Mods are going to lock this thread if you don't stop persisting with this :S Please don't... we still want to discuss our ATARs ;)

Also, Ned Nerb has basically answered your question.

He didn't though. I don't see why we need to be moved now instead of after we get our ATARs. I mean yeah, we've finished classes/exams, but I don't see the year as being over until we get our results. They're everything we've worked for and I don't think that they would've moved us now unless they'd locked it as well (which happened at the same time). I don't see the harm in us staying there. Besides, the Class of 2015 thread is still under the Vic Discussion and they haven't even started their year yet.

Anyway, there's no pointing persisting because I don't want them to throw me out/make some other medieval decision.
