nope first year is worth less than second yr and third. I think third year is worth like half your GPA o.O fun times ahead...

Yeah first year is worth 1/6, second year 1/3 and third year 1/2.

Fun times ahead Rishi97... FUN times ahead. #thuglyf

At Monash, first year subjects count for 50% of all other year's subjects towards the WAM

So second year is weighted equally as third year, but not as first year.

Nah what I meant is that a first year subject is worth half as much as other years' subjects (eg. a first year subject is worth half what a fifth year subject is, in terms of calculating your average marks)

It's a good thing - it means first year subjects are worth less :D

I'm actually studying, albeit inefficiently - the prospect of wasting half a year + $~1000 in HECS debt because I'm too lazy to study in a week specifically designed for me to study is daunting. Don't really care about my grade as long as it's a pass.

Thank god for being able to easily drop a subject in the first few weeks - if I had to do 4 subjects this semester I would've died
