kinda seems like a long time but if you think about it a semester has almost already passed, feels like such a short time haha.

How seriously do you guys take your Unit 1 & 2 exams?
I really want to perfect my examination preparation techniques so i'm trying to start study 3-4 weeks before my exam week.

I'd like to know how you guys prepare.  :)  :D

Important to take your English 1/2 seriously, as it's the only subject where the study design is exactly replicated in units 3/4.

I neglected English 1/2 in a sense. I achieved average B's for my SACs, however, I felt as if I fluked the essay topics/prompts.. as we were provided five to choose from our SACs. I'm still an average English student, but yeah, lesson is to really knuckle down on English 1/2 as you'll carry those skills you have learned into units 3/4!

If you're going to take 2 subjects seriously in yr11: English and Methods.

If a third: chem. And if you're taking 3 seriously, might as well take them all seriously :P

1/2 exams don't really matter. You've already done the SAC's and got that all important "Satisfactory" after all. But yes, I plan on starting study this week about 3 weeks ahead. Got a whole heap of SACs over the next few weeks so I'm going to be doing quite a bit of study anyway so it's kind of good I can roll everything into one I guess.

I plan on just typing up my notes. Perhaps some practice questions. And really that should be it to do well for Unit 1 subjects.

Unit 3 subjects also have midyear exams at my school (they don't count for anything, just for fun) so I want to take my eco exam seriously (hopefully full marks just for the sack of it) as it could be some good preparation for end of year and excuse for serious revision of Unit 3.

Whilst I have no regrets in life (yet), if I were to give myself some advice, it would run pretty contrarily to "Year 11 doesn't matter".

Taking year 11 subjects seriously is okay, but don't get too cut if you happen to score poorly. I remember scoring 35% for my first P.E sac, I just lol'd and scored 93% in the next.. :)

Yeah I'm currently also getting 80+ results for my year eleven subjects. Not too fussed about my 87% for my Area of Study 1 Chemistry test.

This really isn't the right attitude, but I've been doing that too =P. Since like Year 7, I've been treading on 50% for all my marks, then in Year 11 I've been putting in the slightest amount of effort and I'm exceeding the academic expectations of 'top students.' You can have a turn around very easily if you put in some effort. +1
