Good luck with your Unit 1 exams. At my school, almost everyone had a bit of a slump in their results because they were not yet fully adjusted to the VCE system. Obviously make sure you study and do as best as you can, but don't be surprised or upset if the results were not what you were expecting. It tends to correct itself by the end of Unit 2.

Additionally, now might also be a busy time for subject transfers and new timetables. If you are already certain that a particular subject is not for you, transfer out of it sooner rather than later. (Physics students, I'm particularly looking at you as I say this.

) I don't really have any regrets in VCE yet, but I probably should have transferred out of Physics at the end of Unit 1, given that I wasn't enjoying it, wasn't doing that great at it and wasn't intending to do it in Year 12. Your time in VCE is short and you want to make the most of it, not force yourself to study something you really don't want to. Even if that subject is a prerequisite for a course you think you're interested in, you may wish to reconsider that option since if you're not getting the most out of the prerequisite, you might not enjoy that course either. There is no shame in changing subjects; in fact, at my school, the vast majority of students underwent some change both at the end of Unit 1 and Unit 2.
