Does anyone kinda feel sad about school ending too ? Like saying goodbye to such a huge part of your life ? I really hope it's not just me haha

On the whole - no. But I will miss bits about it. Like some of the people, coffees in study periods, my calming walk from the station in the morning, hanging out on the oval at lunchtimes, those reassuring and life lesson chats with some of my teachers etc.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. I can wholeheartedly say that my 6 years of high school have been the best six years I could have asked for. But the values it had taught me make me feel inspired and excited for what's ahead. Sure, it has been a huge part of my life, but you know what's going to be an even bigger part?

Your life after high school. And I believe that can't really begin until you say goodbye to high school for good, and start over and look forward instead of looking back.

I do. After my last exam had finished this hit me hard tbh.

Just reflecting on all the good times I've had in year 12, and the fact I might not see some friends every again :(. It will probably sink in when we get to uni, and see how much better it is. Hopefully :).

Well said.

I went back to school today to get help and the place was so.... empty... sigh - true, whole school has exams but it was more of an internal feeling.  As in, all the familiar faces were gone. Idk if after this year, we would all be united in one same place again but it's optimism for the future that is more important. I remember getting sad after having to leave primary school as well, but after the first two weeks of high school, I completely forgot about it. So hopefully uni where greater things and minds are made will do the same.

I will really miss one or two of my teachers. And people are right, teaching is a noble profession - and seeing some of my teachers (especially my Indonesian teacher) who will give up so much for their students unconditionally really reaffirmed the importance of education for me., /end of nostalgic waffle/.

I was talking to a 2013 graduate and he said less than half the cohort came to the homecoming (in march next year)  :-\  and even less will come to their 1 yr reunion later this month...  :'(

It's definitely bittersweet, considering the fact that I've been at my school since Prep. But I'm excited! I've completed a chapter in my life, and I'm very excited for what is to come. I think these four months coming will be a great opportunity for unwinding and self-reflection, as I organise the pieces for the coming chapters of my life.

Apparently no one went to homecomings last year because it was like first day of uni (like the friday) and everyone was either overseas or caught up with enrolment stuff (from what I heard from a 2013 graduate) that's why they're holding it in March this year.

Mahoney is awesome - pretty inspirational as well! :)

Oh  :o yay that makes me hopeful, I really like the cohort so it made me sad when I heard that barely anyone came. Putting the valedictory vid together over these two weeks and I have some quality gags and footage of people crying from final assembly which should be good :p Yesss Mahoney is a top bloke, legit sent me feedback at 11 on a saturday night lol

In addition to getting my ATAR score, i'm mildly interested to know how I performed on the GAT even though it's not really worth anything, is it just me? Haha

2014: English | Economics | Physics | Mathematical Methods | Specialist Mathematics
ATAR: 97.20
2015-2017: Bachelor of Commerce @ UoM

No it's me too! For me I actually tried so I want to know if it has paid off.
