Yeah I'm in a similar situation. I didn't quite achieve the ATAR I wanted, but it's enough to get me into my desired course. Once I'm in that course (hopefully), ATAR becomes absolutely irrelevant. Nothing is going to stop me from becoming the doctor I aspire to be.

Good work! I will be seeing you next year :)

(Well, if I add subject bonuses, I should be way-in :P)
Entered my SSes into Atarcalc for last year, and it gave me a score that would've been high enough for guaranteed entry into my desired course.. this year, the scaling is so bad that I didn't even make the minimum ATAR requirement. God damn it.

I didn't blink twice upon seeing my ATAR, but then my parents asked me "Are you happy with your score?" and for some reason that hit me harder than if they were to tell me that they themselves were disappointed.
Yeah, I would have got .20 more if we followed 2013 scaling and .15 more on 2012 scaling. Not sure why this happens, cut-offs for ATARs remain relatively the same - perhaps subjects scaled a tiny bit less this year!

Guys I'm just so happy that we're done. I mean finishing exams was one thing but today really was the proper finish. No matter what everyone got, all of our dreams are still 100% achievable. By some miracle I got into arts/law after I'd assumed that I wouldn't even get 90-92. It really just goes to show that it's never worth giving up/assuming you haven't achieved something because anything is possible.

Now we just have to wait until first-round offers and a whole new chapter in our lives will begin. I'll still be active on here, but I just wanted to thank you guys for making this year so much easier - it was really hard for me at times (after exchange which led to me being almost friendless this year) and being able to come here every day made it a lot more manageable. Anyone who comes on here and regularly posts should be given a medal in my opinion... we're all dedicated and care about our marks, and for me that's what matters (the ATAR doesn't reflect anything anyway, look at how many people did brilliantly in a subject throughout the year and then 'messed up' the exam). Next year we'll all be doing our degrees and I hope that we can keep in touch until then!!!

yeah i would've got 99.9 under both 2012 and 2013 scaling lol

I reckon it's cuz of methods. Methods scaled lots last year and plenty of people did it in yr 11 (and generally they do well). This means cutoffs are pushed up, and they're harder to reach because this year's methods now doesnt scale as much.

Any chance we can submit SEAS or anything similar despite the fact the deadline was months ago?

I just found out my family receives Tax Benefit A, and I also receive Youth Allowance, which qualifies for the criteria in Access Melbourne
