How do I say results?

These questions have been keeping me up at night when I'm trying to work out the answers sometimes I just wish I was a fish so I wouldn't have to think about these complicated things and a shark could just come up and eat me and that would be the end of it

What are the state/national standards among students when talking about results??

Do you prefer saying your grade or mark??

Should scaled or raw study scores be used??

Does the burden of revealing their own result first lie on the questioner or questioned??

I think raw study scores are usually the go when it comes to discussing. But really it just depends on the flow of the conversation and doesn't need to be treated as something complicated :P

If they asked for how you went on the exam, then the grade, if they ask for how you went on the subject, then the study score etc. If they asked how it scaled, then how it scaled. If they have no clue about VCE and how it works etc. then you could give a different answer.

Or you could just talk about the marks qualitatively, e.g 'i went well, was happy with the mark' etc.

i don't really like boasting about marks/grades, so i try to keep as conservative as possible. if i get a really high mark, i just say the grade, and if i just scraped an A+ i'd say the mark.
