I'd hate to get sick right before exams, but I guess worse things could happen (a family member could die, your house could burn down, you could be assaulted...). If you can, try to keep a perspective on everything. Instead of stressing over the fact that you're sick before midyears, remember that VCE isn't the end of the world, these exams only count for 33% of your study score for each subject, and that if you've prepared well, you're not likely to perform miles below your potential.
If you've got a sore throat though, you might want to try betadine - it's supposed to kill viruses and bacteria in your throat, and it's worked for me in the past.
