2013 Resolutions and future aspirations

So its the last day of the year again. The world didn't end on the 21st of December and so we are now required to make our new year resolutions. What are your resolutions and to bring it further, what do you wish to achieve with your life?

My current resolutions for 2013 are:
- Obtain a spot in an exchange program to US/UK for 2014 1st Semester.
- Maintain a high GPA for my uni results.
- Train hard and obtain my first title in a badminton tournament (lost too many semis and finals...)
- Learn how to express my gratitude towards friends and family members. (Something that I feel in my heart but always unable to show it.)
- Secure an internship in a reputable company for the summer break at the end of 2013.

As for my lifelong goals, I've always dreamt of going into space. However, I knew due to having intense vertigo, I would never make to cut to being an astronaut. As a kid, I thought of becoming an Actuarist (as it is my perception that it is a pathway to get rich and be able to secure ticket in the space tourism program). However as I grew up, I realized that instead of becoming rich myself and buying my ticket up to space, why not enter the space tourism industry personally and contribute to its success? With the current program offered by Virgin Galatic, the steep prize tag of $200k+ USD restricts the program only to the rich society. Only when the day comes that space tourism becomes a common topic and a viable holiday option amongst ordinary people, I would be contented to have achieved my lifelong goal and purpose in life :)

New year's eve is a time for sharing. What are your goals and what do you think your purpose in life is?

I was really happy when I got my glasses - it's all about getting the right frames for your face
If you're picky like me, I suggest shopping online to get the frames you want then getting your lenses done at your optometrist. The only problem is not being able to try on the frames before buying them I suppose  ???

^ Q made 1950's glasses sexy all over again  ::)

^ Shouldn't that be in the Glasses thread :P

Yeah, what ever! :)

Good luck with it mate, I'd join you this year as well, but I think working out may interfere with my studies too much. Nevertheless, I'll give it my best shot before I decide to call it off.

My goals are:

1. To eat healthier.
2. Possibly do strength workouts throughout the year.
3. Achieve my VCE ambitions.
3.5. Get my P's and drive my Mazda RX-8
4. Be a better son...   (awwwwwwwwwwww)

I don't like the concept of NYResolutions. I think if something needs to be resolved, make a resolution as soon as you find out, no point changing yourself to suit a calendar. That being said, I just want to keep getting better as a person and in whatever I do (everyday not just after a year  tickover), and not go back to 2011 Brenden!
