A little worried about my SEAS application

Is the school responsible for making your SEAS application, or did you have to do it yourself? I am asking this because I honestly don't recall filling out a SEAS application (when I am actually eligible for applying under financially disadvantaged and underrepresented schoo)l. I am so worried atm as I feel that there is a possibility that Melb Uni and other unis I have applied for wont consider me as a SEAS applicant. :/ :/ :/ should I call Melb Uni?

Not to be the devil's advocate, but I'm fairly sure that you had to fill in your own SEAS application. I think that your under-repped school is notified by UoM's system, but if you didn't fill out your financially disadvantaged situation in a SEAS form, it hasn't been registered by UoM or any university. I'm sorry buddy.

So you're saying that they will still know that my school is underrepresented and that they will possibly take this into account? I seriously hope so :)

Yeah I tried to, but no where on my VTAC account says that I have applied for SEAS :P

I just click on the SEAS tab which takes me to a "SEAS receipt".

I'm assuming that if you can't see this you haven't applied. I think it would be odd for your school to lodge SEAS applications for each student (differing circumstances etc).

We were told that everyone should apply under category 1 (personal information and location). I think it's worth a chance contacting your universities, worst thing they could say is no!

Mmm..but since my school is considered as an underrepresented school, do you think that the Universities will know this and will take it into account despite my failure to apply for my other SEAS categories?

If you click on the highlighted navi item and click 'SEA Receipt' you'll get the thing that they send to universities. If you don't see that, I don't think you've applied at all.

If your SEAs Receipt says that you haven't applied for anything they won't give out any of your information to any universities at all. D: Which would suck big time. Same thing goes for finc. disadvantage, but there was a tedious process of providing evidence (you had to goto centrelink/print some stuff out to prove you were finc. disadv) so if you don't remember doing that i don't think you submitted for finc. disadv

Uhmmm...I really hope everything works out for you! BUT to answer your question...I think that the "Under-represented schools" consideration comes under Category 1

http://www.vtac.edu.au/who/seas/categories/category1.html

I'm not entirely sure though.

If you don't see SEA's receipt I don't think you've registered, um, honestly I don't think there's much you can do, but atleast give the unis a call ASAP and ask if you can submit some information or something.

EDIT: AFAIK, they wont recognise you as under-rep school

Yeah try not to think about it too much man! Even if you don't get in, there's always alternative pathways plus it sounds like you've got a pretty good ATAR [/generic response] :P

I applied for SEAS "Category 1 Personal Information and Location". I would have applied for financial disadvantage as well, but my parents were too lazy to fill out their tax forms, so I couldn't. Nevertheless, is there any chance that SEAS could somehow boost my literature score from 23 to 25? It feels like such a waste to miss out on my dream course when I made the clearly in ATAR score, came very close to making the literature prerequisite and have a valid SEAS which is proof that I suffered hardship in year 12...
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50
2014: BSci (Statistics) at RMIT
2015 - 2017: BCom at UoM

S@S: SEAS can't push up study scores, they only affect the ATAR (unfortunately in your case).
