Currently not in melb on advice day

I got into BSc at UoM. But the problem is...
I am not in Melbourne on Academic Advice Day (23rd of this month)and was wondering if it really was that important to attend?

Is it also possible to get someone to go for me?

Or even better, if anyone got their offer to go to BSc at Univeristy of Melbourne, and would be willing to relay the information to me and get me an extra copy of the leaflets?

Would really appreciate some advice.
Melbourne University-Science-Second year

Am taking in students for CHEMISTRY and MATHS METHODS tuition for 2014 as well as first year chemistry. If interested, pm me. Flexible with location.

It's not that essential to go. What I got out of it was just getting used to the campus. The staff for each subject will run by the course extremely briefly, mainly telling you about how you will still use some of your VCE knowledge. At the end you are able to talk to the staff, ask questions etc. All which can be done by email.
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.
2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

Is it also possible to get someone else to accept your offer on your behalf (someone in melb from family?) if you are not there?

From the link that the UoM offer mentions (http://aad.unimelb.edu.au/), bottom of the page

Quote
What if I can’t attend Academic Advice Day?

Accept your offer and complete your administrative enrolment at enrolment.unimelb.edu.au
Contact your Student Centre (13 6352) to seek permission to not attend AAD, and to make alternative arrangements for receiving academic advice regarding your subject choices. Note: If you are unable to complete your administrative and subject enrolment by the enrolment deadline of Friday 1st February you will need to request an extension to this date from your Student Centre.
Complete your enrolment by enrolling into subjects online by Friday 1st February, or by the date agreed to by your Student Centre. This is essential to ensure that your enrolment is complete.
