What should we be doing during reading time,
Hints, methods of saving time...anything to maximise chances  :)

During reading time, I'd check through all the questions and maybe remember those which are easy so you can finish them off first.

I'd always leave the detailed study till last because they are multiple choice and if you run out of time you can always have a guess.

I heard if we can't do the first part of a question we can just sub in random values for the next part and get consequentials? (or was that chem...?)

Yeah that's true.

Yeah, but remember that the random values have to be realistic. Marks wont be awarded if you sub in zero and use this value for the rest of the question.

around 30 mins for motion, 30 mins for electronics, 20 mins for detailed study (structures). 10 mins to check.

I probably going to spend 33 - 37 on motion, about 15 - 20 on electronics and then 15 - 20 on structures, so ill have a bit of time HOPEFULLY to go over questions on calculator, to avoid giving away silly marks

I'm hoping to go through further electronics first in reading time (spend 5 min going through all questions) then spend the next 10min going over electronics and then motion if i get time.

Then after reading time spend 10 min on further electronics, 25 min for electronics/photonics and then 45min on motion and 10 min to check over the paper.

technically no, but if you're careful about it I doubt the supervisors would notice
