What the MUTTS?

So, I've chucked my semester 1 units into MUTTS, and it's given me a 7-page (as the 'list time-table') document full of labs and lectures and whatnot.

Truth is, I have absolutely no idea what I'm looking at; I know that I'm supposed to select the options that I want to refine the timetable to something less... complex... but I have no clue as to what to select.

Attached is a screenshot of the first 'week' (I think?) of labs for BIO1011. What does this actually mean?

theyre all the different labs on different days/times, you need to pick one of them.

This shows how many times bio labs are run in the week and what times.
When you go onto allocate+ you will be asked to put in your preferences for when you would like to have that lab.
For example your first preference maybe monday at 2pm.
You will have to make preferences for all your subjects lecture, labs etc.
I did my preferences on allocate+ already, it wa much easier to use then MUTTS.

Thanks, TT! So, for example, there are three options for Tuesday; I assume I select only one, right?

Do I need to select a lab for every day of the week, or are they repeats?

they should repeat and be the same each week, you only need to attend one but in allocate you will need more preferences (up to 6 i think), so pick some backups.

So, for example, BIO1011_CL_S1_DAY/Laboratory/01 on the first listed Monday would be the same as BIO1011_CL_S1_DAY/Laboratory/13 on the second listed Monday? It seems as if the only difference is location...

As you can tell, I'm having trouble getting my head around this lol

how many labs do you have to do in a week?

Going by this: http://www.monash.edu/pubs/handbooks/units/BIO1011.html , the contact hours for this unit are stated as "two 1-hour lectures and one 2.5-hour practical". Per week, right? If so, I assume I just select the time that suits me... and that's it?

Yeah so when you get onto allocate+ you will probably have to pick at least 6 preferences for the lecture (based on what you what) and same for the practical.
Go onto allocate+ it will make more sense.

Following michak's advice, I logged onto Allocate+, it definitely makes a lot more sense seeing it there than on MUTTS. I think I'm going to work through it with someone who's done this sort of thing before (i.e. relative who's at uni/careers counsellor etc).
