Hi all,
Anyone else thinking of doing this type of engineering this year? Or already studying it?
What are the job prospects like? Is it hard to end up working in places like IBM?
Also,
Cause i have no common first year, I have to choose which engineering I want to head into right now. Just want to make sure I won't regret choosing ecse, but so far it's at the top of my list.
Biomedical engineering is definitely something I'm looking into right now as well. But if you graduate with a BBiomedSc/BE degree, and took biomed engineering units during mast two years, would you actually be called a biomedical engineer and be able to work as one straight away?
If anyone could give some insight about the other engineering pathways, specifically materials and civil, that would be great as well  :D

ECSE can work well with biomed as you can have a go at producing biometric devices which can make lives of people who are physically handicapped better than before.

(Note that I am a mechatronics Student so I am clearly biased )
2011: ESL [39] Chem [42] Physics [40] Spesh [39] Methods [38]
ATAR: 97.35

2012: Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering/Bachelor of Science @ Monash
2013-2018 : Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering/Bachelor of Science/Diploma of Language(Japanese) @ Monash
2013 : Faculty of Science's Dean's List for 2013

I am mostly away all the time but I try to be as helpful as I can.

PM me for any Science/Engineering Enquires.
