Title says it all, I go back tomorrow and it will be good to see everyone, not so sure about having to do work again after a few months off. Well when I say a few months, of course I've been doing prep work over summer, but you get what I mean  :)

Yeah also kind of keen. Ah I'm so jealous you go back on the fourth! Why does my school have to make us start on a Wednesday this year? It's going to be so weird starting mid week!

Do you only have the one subject because its the first day back? I've got a whole lo of assemblies tomorrow and then shortened classes.

Hehe, lucky me xD I don't think we'll be doing anything first day... just sorting our lockers and having a massive 2-3 period assembly would be the best :S

Just heard on 7 news that the Ballieu government is planning on changing the period of starting school. (From February to March). He says something about students not being able to perform to their full potential in the heat. Any thoughts on the topic? :)

Meh, I'd assume starting later would mean we'd have to finish later as well, but regardless, this is my last year so I really don't care. I want to get the year over and done with. Back to the topic at hand, I'm excited to go back and see everyone, but am not too keen on the year a head, I hear year 12 is chore :D lol.

(Haven't actually read/watch the report but this is my opinion)

If that does happen, wouldn't we have to end school a whole month later? I'd rather start now, when the heat is slowly dropping and end in mid November than start in March and then finish just before Christmas. The heat before Christmas might not be bearable as thats when summer starts. Possibly 40 degrees+ temperatures during exams and studying for them? NO THANKS. In mid november when we normally are finishing up our last and final VCE exams, the temperature would not be high enough for all us current year 12's to be unable to think due to the heat. The highest I would think it could be is around 30 degrees.

This is only the case if they do move back the whole year one month.

Anyone else agree?

I think this is sound logic  :) - I really think we should just stick with the normal period when school starts. Everyone's used to it. They've already changed the style of the science exams for us year 12s; I don't really want them to change anymore!

I hope the same. Just hope the Ballieu government doesn't change things around. It'll turn into a big controversy if they do though.
