Just heard on 7 news that the Ballieu government is planning on changing the period of starting school. (From February to March). He says something about students not being able to perform to their full potential in the heat. Any thoughts on the topic?
(Haven't actually read/watch the report but this is my opinion)
If that does happen, wouldn't we have to end school a whole month later? I'd rather start now, when the heat is slowly dropping and end in mid November than start in March and then finish just before Christmas. The heat before Christmas might not be bearable as thats when summer starts. Possibly 40 degrees+ temperatures during exams and studying for them? NO THANKS. In mid november when we normally are finishing up our last and final VCE exams, the temperature would not be high enough for all us current year 12's to be unable to think due to the heat. The highest I would think it could be is around 30 degrees.
This is only the case if they do move back the whole year one month.
Anyone else agree?
